Founder and Chief Linguist - Tina Teng
Hsin-Ya (Tina) Teng (鄧欣亞) is the Founder and the Chief Linguist of Formosa Language Services LLC. She is an English <> Chinese conference interpreter, translator and copywriter specializing in international relations, corporate communications, marketing, finance and investment, trade and economics, transportation, ESG, culture, fashion and materials science. Over the course of her T&I career, she has translated more than 500,000 words in corporate annual reports, RFPs, trade reports, press releases, cultural magazine articles, marketing material, government regulations, and more.
Tina holds an M.A. in conference interpretation from National Taiwan Normal University under the instruction of AIIC members, and successfully passed the 2021 Joint Professional Examinations in Chinese-English Conference Interpretation. She is a member of the American Translators Association and Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters.
As a trained journalist, she delivers precision in accuracy and meaning to ensure that the audience enjoys content that stays true to its message in the most natural expression of the target language.
Tina was born and raised in Taiwan and is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. Having lived in Belize, United States, South Korea, and Hong Kong, Tina's wealth of international experiences have nurtured her cultural knowledge and inclusiveness. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
